AWAYTAPEOLOGY⚡️
It's a Beat Tape / instrumental project.
8 tracks.
All done from scratch on an extended stay at my family's house using my Maschine Plus (standalone unit, no computer).
A Few left turns kept me at my fam's longer than expected.
Went for my Grandma's birthday, then mine was approaching, so they convinced me to stay. Then the whole house got sick. Then my Grandma had a major health scare. She's good now though🙏⚡
But yeah.
Then at one point in the middle of all that I realized I could prob release stuff from here, with the Maschine + my Phone.
So all done from scratch on the Maschine Plus and exported from there. Album sequencing and light mastering touches done on Cubasis app on my Android phone.
I wanted to make sure the tracks had a smooth gap-less playback, but had difficulty being sure if it worked from my phone... Solution: I jumped on my Aunt's computer and downloaded the free audio editor Audacity.
I cut the 8 individual tracks with that.
Then sent off to distribution from my phone.
I hope I didn't misstep somewhere though. We'll see, when it hits the Spotify n all them, if it kept the integrity of the transitions.
Word.
Also the Art was created using Mid Journey AI. And I'm an artist myself too, but it helped in a pinch. Was also interesting to use and I did find creative ways to do some promo animations using it. I even am using those animations in my beat videos for these tracks going on YouTube.
But yeah yo.
